Are you ready to wander into the kitchen with me? Step inside. My goal here is simple: to bring you along as I explore real-life off-grid cooking in Baja – sharing recipes we actually make, plus some of my favorite tricks, tools, and “use what you’ve got” swaps.
I have loved cooking for as long as I can remember. As a kid, I used to surprise my parents with breakfast, which absolutely terrified my mom more than once. Later it turned into surprise dinners for my parents and brothers. Some were hits, some were… character-building. That is how you learn.
Then came the moment many of us know well: wait, I’m married and suddenly responsible for breakfast, lunch, and dinner? Every day? From there it became a mix of family recipes, restaurant work, countless hours with the Food Channel, and more cookbooks, diets, and food blogs than I can reasonably admit.
All of that lands here, in this little corner of Our Baja Life.
